Factors when considering Kirk Cousins: ‘Pritchard & Cecil’

Pritchard & Cecil – 02/23/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Friday’s show the guys talk about some factors that will play into the Kirk Cousins decision this off-season, the NFL Combine next week and a big trade made today in the NFL.
Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about the upcoming NFL Combine. Cecil Lammey is stoked for the combine he says. What great players proved themselves at the combine in the past? Cecil Lammey looks at some names that became star players or players with bigger roles that showed off their skills at the NFL Combine. The guys then elaborate a little more on what the combine is all about and why certain drills are conducted. Mike Pritchard takes us through his combine experience and talks about what it was like for him as a college player going into the NFL.
Plus, the guys then get into some quarterback discussion for the Broncos. Both Cecil Lammey and Mike Pritchard guys agree Kirk Cousins is the best free agent quarterback but Cecil has his dark horse at the position. Mike Pritchard also gives some of this thoughts at the position and who he would choose out of the available free agent quarterbacks right now. The guys break that down and much more as the Broncos off-season rolls on.
Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about free agency for Denver this off-season and addressing the Broncos tight end position. The guys talk about a certain free agent tight end in Julius Thomas and if he would make sense to be brought back in by the Broncos as their starting tight end this off-season. The guys break down whether or not they would want to see Thomas back in a Broncos jersey. Mike Pritchard explains why he wants to see the Broncos spend some free agent money on an Eric Decker or a player like him instead. Cecil Lammey explains why you can’t rely on Jake Butt right away.
For the rest of hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about important drills at the combine. The guys look at drills that make the most impact on determining which players may be the real deal at the pro level. The guys also get into some more quarterback discussion related to Kirk Cousins.
Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about some of the other factors this off-season when Kirk Cousins considers which team he wants to sign a long term contract with. The guys break down which factors they believe that Cousins will be most considering. Cecil Lammey weighs in on why he thinks that Cousins wants to come to a team where he gets a decent deal but also a team that can compete right away. Cecil Lammey thinks Cousins may want to come to Denver in order to try to win a Super Bowl. Mike Pritchard talks about his thoughts on Cousins and why the other teams can’t be not considered at this point. The guys also get into some comments made by Emmanuel Sanders about Kirk Cousins.
