Pritchard & Cecil – 02/21/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Wednesday’s show the guys talk about Trevor Siemian’s trade value as according to Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network, Siemian is expected to be available via trade this off-season. The guys also get into the wide receiver position for the Broncos, pass rushers in the draft that could draw some interest and offensive line help for Denver.
Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about the latest report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian is expected to be available via trade this off-season. The guys give their thoughts on the initial report and if this shocks them at all given the current quarterback climate in the NFL. Cecil Lammey then explains why he thinks the Broncos wasted time with Trevor Siemian. Cecil Lammey talks about how the Broncos should have already tried to trade Trevor Siemian prior to last season. Mike Pritchard debates that with Cecil Lammey and gives his own take on if the Broncos have handled their quarterback situation right the past couple of seasons.
Plus, what about other positions on the offensive side of the ball for the Broncos, including wide receiver. The guys break down where the Broncos sit wide receiver wise right now and where Demaryius Thomas/Emmanuel Sanders would sit right now with other NFL teams. Mike Pritchard goes into why he thinks DT still has a lot to offer but how now he might not be a number on wide receiver. The guys also go into who the Broncos third receiver would be right now.
Hour two Pritchard & Cecil talk about Trevor Siemian’s trade value if the Broncos decide to go through with making him available on the trade block. The guys look at other quarterbacks that have been traded or made available in the past and how that stacks up with Siemian’s value right now. Cecil Lammey breaks down how he believes that Siemian at this point doesn’t have a ton of value on the open market and that it’s a win if the Broncos can get anything right now for Trevor Siemian. Mike Pritchard talks about how he thinks that Siemian might have more trade value then people may think because he was a starting quarterback at one point.
For the rest of hour two the guys talk about the Broncos offensive line, Broncos pass rushers and prospects in the draft that might fill some needs and have some value for the Denver Broncos. Pritchard & Cecil break down outside of quarterback some other positions and other top needs for Denver. The guys also get back into some general thoughts on where the Broncos sit right now at quarterback.
Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about the the Broncos quarterback position as the team searches for a franchise starting quarterback. The guys talk about how the Trevor Siemian report impacts the current quarterbacks in the Broncos locker room right now and if the team will look to add more or less quarterbacks. Mike Pritchard talks about how he could see this lighting a bit of a fire underneath someone like Paxton Lynch and how he and Chad Kelly will have to battle it out to be the Broncos backup quarterback. Cecil Lammey also breaks down how he believes the Broncos need to add at least two quarterbacks this off-season and how one of them should probably be through the draft at some point. Mike Pritchard reacts and the guys then get into some other topics.
For the rest of the final hour of the show Pritchard & Cecil talk about Broncos linebacker Shane Ray. The guys discuss a recent article on Shane Ray and if he is just a one dimensional player right now. Cecil Lammey explains why Shane Ray’s game right now is close to what you want from a pass rusher. The guys also discuss some other topics from around the National Football League.
