Live from Radio Row – Von Miller: Cousins puts Broncos ‘over the edge’
Jan 31, 2018, 2:36 PM
Von Miller, tell us what you really think.
The Denver Broncos linebacker made it no secret he wouldn’t mind Kirk Cousins as an upgrade to his squad’s quarterback position this year during an interview with The Dan Patrick Show at Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota.
Said Miller: “We need Kirk. I would like to have Kirk. We have great quarterbacks now. Kirk could take us over the edge.
“But that’s the National Football League. There’s a lot of teams that need Kirk. There’s a lot of teams that need a great quarterback. And whatever team he’s on will be a different team.”
Miller also mentioned that he and Cousins had at least one conversation wherein he made known what his signing with the Broncos would do for the team.
“He knows exactly how I feel about Kirk Cousins and what he would mean to our team and what he would mean to a lot of teams,” Miller said. “He’s the high quarterback on the market.”
The comments come just more than 12 hours after Kansas City Star Chiefs beat writer Terez Paylor reported the Washington Redskins had acquired quarterback Alex Smith from Kansas City for cornerback Kendall Fuller.
Sources tell The Star that the Chiefs have reached an agreement to trade Alex Smith to Washington. The story: https://t.co/vlNuGMAlVS

The move means Cousins, who had been franchise tagged the past two seasons, would likely not return to Washington next season and thus could be a target for the Broncos this offseason.
