The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Colorado Avalanche All-Star Forward Nathan MacKinnon joins the show to talk about the Avs young skill having an immediate impact this year, and says Colorado’s depth is unbelievable.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

Al & DMac talk about the Denver draw for athletes, and if the concerts & nightlife are enough to make an athlete want to play in Colorado. DMac mentions the weather and location, and Big Al wonders why Carmelo Anthony left Denver. DMac thinks Melo would do things differently now, and would have a championship by now if he stayed with the Nuggets. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, the guys talk about Ben Roethlisberger’s inability to audible to a QB sneak, and why Todd Haley is moving on from the Steelers. Also, why LeBron James would ever want to leave Cleveland again after the legacy he created there. Al & DMac discuss the details of Carlos Henderson’s arrest in Louisiana, and DMac asks Big Al if Henderson is dumb for putting himself in the situation. Big Al mentions the relaxed marijuana laws in Colorado, and the guys compare Carlos Henderson’s circumstances to that of other Denver Broncos.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

Al & DMac talk about Coach Studesville landing in Miami, and if any Broncos will wind up being difference-makers on other teams in 2018. Also, what most players do in the offseason, and why Big Al loved going to Houston where there are no state taxes. DMac says he could stop doing anything for 60 days if he was guaranteed one million dollars, and Big Al runs through some scenarios concerning random drug & alcohol tests at work and in the NFL. DMac brings up the Broncos 2017 rookies, and DMac is shocked at the names Denver passed up on. DMac gives Elway an ‘F’ draft grade for the Broncos ’17 class, and Big Al cautions him, saying Denver hardly plays their rookies in year-one. Colorado Avalanche All-Star Forward Nathan MacKinnon joins the show to talk about the Avs young skill having an immediate impact this year, and says Colorado’s depth is unbelievable. MacKinnon mentions how much fun these Avs are having, and Big Al asks what it’s like carrying the weight of an entire draft class. Also, MacKinnon says Colorado’s dream at the beginning of the season has become a reality, and what he wants now is an Avs playoff run. Listen to the interview HERE!

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

DMac wants to know the last time all the Colorado teams made the playoffs in the same calendar year, and Big Al reviews the pros & cons of free agency for the Broncos. Also, what Kirk Cousins would have to look forward to here in Denver. DMac asks Al if Peyton Manning simply came here for the money, and says there’s no way Denver can beat out Jacksonville for Kirk Cousins’ services. Big Al doesn’t want Shanahan as OC in Denver, and the guys weigh in on the Jets firing of John Morton. The boys take some calls on how much longer John Elway will stay in his current role, and if the Broncos should invest in the defense or offense.
