The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joins the show to say this is not one of the most attractive final four teams left in the NFL playoffs, but it is interesting. UCLA Play-by-Play Analyst Josh Lewin joins the show to discuss Josh Rosen & what the Broncos should do with their top pick in the ’18 NFL Draft. Cecil Lammey joins the show to say the Shrine Game will be full of mid-to-late round draft picks hoping to make a name for themselves after getting lost in the NFL Draft shuffle throughout the 2017-18 season.
Al & DMac debate what was worse, Marcus Williams’ missed tackle or Rahim Moore’s inability to knock Joe Flacco’s pass down. The Titans have decided to move on from Mike Mularkey with Marcus Mariota not progressing. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joins the show to say this is not one of the most attractive final four teams left in the NFL playoffs, but it is interesting. Adam says all four teams have different strengths, and Case Keenum is a pretty good QB. Adam talks about the dog masks in Philly, and says the matchup in the Super Bowl will be intriguing but not sexy. Also, how the league is reacting to numbers being down. Listen to the interview HERE! In the Big 3 @ 3:30, the guys wrap up their thoughts on the Marcus Williams play, and after Telvin Smith returns Le’Veon Bell’s fumble for a touchdown, Big Al asks DMac if the Jags have finally arrived. Also, Al is shocked at all the moves being made throughout the league & says the Broncos are one of the more settled franchises when he looks around the NFL. UCLA Play-by-Play Analyst Josh Lewin joins the show to discuss Josh Rosen & what the Broncos should do with their top pick in the ’18 NFL Draft. Lewin says Rosen is not exactly a wallflower, but he’s not Johnny Manziel either. Lewin thinks Rosen will be a heck of an NFL player, and addresses Al’s question about Rosen not wanting to play for the Cleveland Browns. Listen to the interview HERE!
Big Al laughs at LaVar Ball vs the shoe companies, and says everyone will get their shot like Case Keenum, it’s simply about what they do with it. Also, DMac laughs about the crazy Kyle Sloter situation in Minnesota. Cecil Lammey joins the show to say the Shrine Game will be full of mid-to-late round draft picks hoping to make a name for themselves after getting lost in the NFL Draft shuffle throughout the 2017-18 season. Cecil talks about the Kirk Cousins situation in Washington, and says Cousins has all the leverage. Listen to the interview HERE! The guys talk about Kirk Cousins transition tag scenario, and how his contract compares to Matthew Stafford’s. DMac asks Al if Elway would have interest in overpaying for Cousins, or if Denver should pass on the biggest QB contract of all-time.
DMac says Cousins is grateful for the advice he’s been given, and Jay Gruden knew he had no shot at Cousins in his presser after Washington’s final regular season game. The guys agree if Kirk Cousins is in Denver, it will attract more players to come play for Elway. DMac gets the listeners ready for the Nuggets game at Pepsi Center tonight, and is excited about Sandy Clough’s coverage & analysis. The guys take some calls on who Denver’s next starting QB should be, and Big Al remembers going to the Super Bowl in Miami & getting chills. The guys laugh about LaVar Ball taking his kids to Lithuania, and Big Al recalls his favorite moment that gave him chills when the Broncos played the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
