Unsurprisingly, the man who now calls the shots in the Denver Broncos front office and called the plays for its first two Super Bowl victories graces the No. 1 slot on NFL Films recently released “Top 10 Greatest Denver Broncos of All-Time.”

General manager John Elway tops the list of former players synonymous with the Orange and Blue — a top 10 that will likely spur some debate among Broncos Country.

Here’s the list:

  1. John Elway
  2. Terrell Davis
  3. Shannon Sharpe
  4. Champ Bailey
  5. Peyton Manning
  6. Steve Atwater
  7. Rod Smith
  8. Randy Gradishar
  9. Karl Mecklenburg
  10. Von Miller

Players of note missing on the list include Pro Football Hall of Fame tackle Gary Zimmerman and running back Floyd Little, along with several Ring of Fame members: safety John Lynch, linebacker Simon Fletcher, center Tom Nalen, safety Dennis Smith, linebacker Tom Jackson.

Current Broncos who also fell short include wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr.
