Mike Pritchard is in for Stoke on Wednesday on Stokley & Zach. Pritch is instantly asked about Stoke’s comments to tank in order to get a better draft pick and plays Devil’s advocate saying no one is wrong. The fellas dive into the Elway draft history and if this year could be the year he gets right with a top 5-10 pick.
Pritch & Zach dive into what position the Broncos should go out and spend the most money on as they have a 26 million dollar cap room. Pritch says that the position that they need to pay money to is a one person position. Kirk Cousins is on the top of free-agent quarterbacks and the fellas wonder if we should break the bank for someone like him or get someone cheaper like Case Keenum.
TJ Ward’s replacement, Justin Simmons is being shut down for the season after suffering a high ankle sprain. With the injury to the Broncos’ safety, the fellas praise him for how well he has done in his first year starting and how much he will be worth in the future.
The fellas have Big Al’s audio saying that if the Broncos do lose out, their schedule should be a lot easier but it doesn’t always end up like that. Pritch says that teams change year to year and it might seem easy when the schedule comes out but might be more difficult than they think.
Mel kipper has done his first mock draft and he has the Denver Broncos selecting 5th overall and taking Wyoming quarterback, Josh Allen. The guys react.
Terrell Davis was on with Schlereth and Evans this morning and said the Broncos never clicked. Pritch weighs in on what TD had to say.
Pritch’s beef was with the Broncos Thursday night game against the Colts and calls it the “Draft Position Bowl”.
