Denver Post Rockies Beat Writer Patrick Saunders joins the show to say root for the homegrown pitchers & Bud Black, and believe in Bridich as the Rockies enter winter meetings. Denver7 Boncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the Broncos cold week of practice, and what will happen if the Broncos get blown out at home.
Big Al & DMac mention the importance of winning just one more game, and DMac says the Broncos don’t have a shot at the No. 1 overall pick. Big Al questions if a QB1 will drop to Denver at the top of the draft, and says Josh Allen will be a top-10 pick. Sashi Brown is fired as GM of the Cleveland Browns, and Big Al is upset that Ryan Shazier has possibly played his last down, after Shazier undergoes spinal stabilization surgery. Also, DMac asks Al about the Ball Bros. going to play overseas, and Al says he likes the idea. Bridich tells Saunders the Rockies must find a veteran catcher & shore up the bullpen, and Saunders tells DMac what to expect from the owners’ meetings. Big Al talks about how we match up with the JETS, and the guys go through PFF draft grades on individual draft picks, including Garett Bolles & Ryan Ramczyk. DMac says now the proof is in the pudding on Garett Bolles and red flags are now obvious no-brainers, and Al saw them a long time ago. Al says when you have the chance to draft a special lineman from Wisconsin, you should take it, and is still confused why Denver didn’t draft Dalvin Cook. DMac says Denver got desperate, and Al cautions Elway to stay away from drafting needs instead of talent. Denver7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the Broncos cold week of practice, and what will happen if the Broncos get blown out at home. DMac asks Troy about the short practices this week and the Broncos staying inside. DMac & Al bicker about what they knew this preseason, and Al calls DMac wishy-washy. King Soopers Fan Football Pick Em lights up, and Big Al says he’s taking the home team Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football. The guys agree all the credit and the blame should go to the coach & GM, and take calls on if we saw this fallout coming for the Broncos.
