Cecil thinks we should trample the crowd to get Kirk Cousins, and Al says don’t forget Rich Gannon could run. Cecil says Pat Shurmur makes Keenum look good, and Big Al sticks up for Virgil Green, pointing out how the coordinating has kept Green down here in Denver. The guys figure out who should be the blocking TE in Denver, and who should be the pass catcher. Denver7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show to say Paxton starting is a bi-product of the season, and the Broncos need to walk away from this six-week audition knowing for certain if Paxton is the future. Troy says there has been no indication that DT is the best player on the field, and the regression this year was alarming. Also, why three QBs and two different coordinators are signs of a 3-7 record. Listen to the interview HERE!
In the Friday Fire Up, Al says we need to get Devontae Booker rolling early & often, and Cecil points out that if you’ve got the running game going, the skies will open up for DT and Emmanuel. Al mentions the added pressure on Derek Carr, and Cecil says we must keep Paxton Lynch upright. Al asks Cecil if we have the right offensive coordinator in Bill Musgrave, and tells Cecil if the offense doesn’t produce, it leaves the defense on the field too long. Also, why there is no love lost between John Elway & Jack Del Rio. In the Fan Football Pick ‘Em, the guys decide between the Bills & Chiefs, Panthers & JETS, Dolphins & Pats, and Raiders or Broncos. Al & Cecil are two of The Fan’s best pickers when it comes to NFL games. Also, bold predictions for the Broncos game on Sunday.
