The boys laugh about Jerry Maguire, and DMac says there can’t be any crying when the Broncos go with Paxton. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, Al says we finally get to see Paxton prove himself as an NFL QB. DMac thinks firing a coordinator midway through a season is weak, and Al clarifies. Big Al asks DMac if Bradley Roby is a 8-year starter, and who the Broncos’ contributors are that land first-round grades.
The fight over credit for breaking the Paxton Lynch starting story begins on twitter. DMac talks about what happened when a void was created by Pat Bowlen stepping down. DMac says John Elway was not the only reason why Peyton Manning came to Denver, and Big Al says DMac is ungrateful when it comes to John Elway. Al says DeMarcus Walker needs to be playing more, and runs through busts John Elway has made in the draft, whittling Elway’s draft success in the first two rounds to 36%. Big Al compares the Broncos’ draft success to the New England Patriots, and says New England knows what they’re looking for. DMac says Robert Kraft puts together the plan for New England, and the guys list the QBs John Elway has had in Denver. Also, DMac asks Big Al if Klint Kubiak is qualified to be a coach in the Broncos organization.
Big Al says Teddy Bridgewater will not be under contract nest year, and he’s excited to bring in a playmaker. The end of Brock Osweiler’s time in Denver is now, as Mike Klis reports Trevor Siemian will be Paxton Lynch’s backup. The guys laugh about ‘The Decision ‘17’ and DMac says Day 1 of camp has to be with a purpose. Big Al says teams no longer have the time in the offseason that they used to. Also, Big Al breaks down what Sunday should look like with Paxton Lynch at the helm. The infamous G-MAN joins the show to talk about the highs and lows of sitting on a billboard in real-life until the Broncos won a game. Big Al asks G-MAN about the view, and the things he’d have to do that you’d never believe unless you heard it. G-MAN suggests a Jake Butt appearance to help the Strawberry Man out in the bathroom. Listen to the interview HERE! The guys check in with Sergio Dipp, and are excited for Denver’s first-round draft pick to make his ’17 debut. Big Al says he is ready to see something else, and wants to score more points.
