The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Adam Schefter joins the show to say the Broncos are moving forward as a group, and Al tells him there is a sense of optimism with Bill Musgrave. Derek Wolfe joins the show, presented by Ted’s Montana Grill, to say he hates to see a guy lose his job, and that includes Mike McCoy. Denver7 Insider Troy Renck joins the show to say the Broncos’ patience with Mike McCoy simply ran out, and Al asks Troy if the Broncos’ plan was flawed.
The guys aren’t sure how we will look without Mike McCoy, and Big Al says we are fixing to find out if Bill Musgrave is the answer. Adam Schefter joins the show to say the Broncos are moving forward as a group, and Al tells him there is a sense of optimism with Bill Musgrave. Schefter says Denver must determine if Paxton is legitimate, and there’s nothing worse than a team without playoff hope during Thanksgiving. Schefter notes Denver is not out of it, because no one has run away with their division. At the very least, Schefter says you get some clarity as a Broncos fan. Listen to the interview HERE! John Elway is frustrated & the coaches are offended, and DMac says Elway has to look in the mirror. Derek Wolfe joins the show, presented by Ted’s Montana Grill, to say he hates to see a guy lose his job, and that includes Mike McCoy. Wolfe says it’s the same thing, just a different day, and he’s sick of losing. Wolfe says John Elway is the boss, and if Elway thinks the Broncos are soft, they’ve got to change it. Wolfe says he doesn’t look into comments like that too much, and ‘soft’ is the last thing you can call him. Also, Wolfe says Peko wanted to win so bad & he couldn’t ask for a better guy to play with. Listen to the interview HERE!
We hear from Broncos Head Coach Vance Joseph, and DMac lays out his conspiracy theory on how Gary Kubiak will be coaching again. Al & DMac talk about Osweiler’s instincts, and the possibility of going 9-7 or 8-8 in the regular season. DMac says the season is over, and Trevor Siemian is a solid backup. Also, DMac thinks Siemian is Denver’s best shot to beat Oakland this weekend. Denver7 Insider Troy Renck joins the show to say the Broncos’ patience with Mike McCoy simply ran out, and Al asks Troy if the Broncos’ plan was flawed. Renck says McCoy seemed stubborn at times, and Denver needs to find a fix or solution for the Watson & Stephenson saga. Also, Renck says Denver can’t ask QBs to do something they’re not capable of doing, and the Broncos still have faith in Vance Joseph. Listen to the interview HERE!
VJ tells the media Kubiak is involved with scouting right now, and not coaching. Al says he wants to see an effective offense, and DMac says this is a great situation for Paxton to come in & get up to speed. Also, Al says start Paxton if you want a Top-5 pick.
