Game notes
• Denver returns to Los Angeles for the first time in 23 seasons, where they hold a 5-14 record overall vs. the Chargers, Rams, and Raiders.
• The last time the Broncos played the Chargers in Los Angeles was 1960, when they suffered a 41-33 loss at the L.A. Coliseum.
• All-time against the Chargers, the Broncos have a winning record of 64-60-1 but have a losing record on the road (24-33).
• The Broncos are one of just two teams in the NFL that ranks in the top 10 in both run defense (70.2 yards per game, second) and pass defense (191.6 yards per game, sixth).
• With a sack, Von Miller can pass Karl Mecklenburg for second place on the club’s all-time list.
• Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn served as an assistant with the Broncos from 2000 to 2002. He also played for Denver in 1993 and from 1997 to 1999.
• Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy was the Chargers head coach from 2013 to 2016. Tight ends coach Geep Chryst and offensive line coach Jeff Davidson also served as Chargers coaches in the past.
• With a win, Denver can ensure a .500 or better divisional record for the 20th time in the last 22 seasons.
• A pick-six would net Aqib Talib a tie with Darren Sharper and Charles Woodson for the second-most career interceptions for a touchdown.
