The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Adam Schefter joins the show to say look at the power & impact a video like Chris Foerster’s has, and it doesn’t matter if Foerster was regarded as one of the best in the business. Troy Renck joins the show to say this game sets up well for Denver with Odell Beckham Jr. & WR Brandon Marshall both out. Troy says guys are buying in and are in a good place mentally, but he’s aware the early BYE week will likely bite them later on.
Adam Schefter joins the show to say look at the power & impact a video like Chris Foerster’s has, and it doesn’t matter if Foerster was regarded as one of the best in the business. Al asks Adam about kneeling for the National Anthem, and Schefter says the message has shifted from being about social reform & police brutality to other areas. After hearing Jerry Jones’ latest comments, Adam wonders if Jerry would bench Dak Prescott for kneeling, and says this could go on for a while & we’ll see how things conclude. Also, DMac asks Adam if they’re having open tryouts for NY Giants receivers today after so many got hurt on Sunday, and Adam mentions his game tape with Cris Carter. Listen to the interview HERE! In the Big 3 @ 3:30, Big Al notes that Eli Manning plays best when it seems there is no hope, and the NY Giants have a great D-Line. The Astros take down the Red Sox, and DMac asks Al if he was watching Leonard Fournette over the weekend. Al still can’t get over how special Deshaun Watson has looked, and says Watson is on his way to winning ROY in ’17. Also, Peyton’s comment on how he will always be a Colt. The boys agree maybe it’s time the Giants move on from Eli Manning, and DMac thinks Big Ben might have lost his passion for the game. Kareem Hunt is Big Al’s current league MVP, and the worst thing in the NFL is being figured out like the Giants offense has been.
Al says fantasy football numbers don’t matter, especially when it comes to Demaryius Thomas, but wins do. DMac is totally done with Paxton Lynch, and takes a shot at the morning show, saying Paxton is like Jim Druckenmiller. Also, Big Al says Eli Manning has looked uninterested his entire career. We hear from Jake Butt on how Mike McCoy puts his athletes in 1-on-1 advantages, and DMac drills Big Al on two guys he’d have on the bubble in case Butt & Shane Ray return. Big Sexy helps Al & DMac out with what O.J. Simpson is up to now that he’s loose, and what constitutes a violation of The Juice’s probation. DMac has big news on becoming a teacher, and Al is shocked at how many have signed up to be coached already. Troy Renck joins the show to say this game sets up well for Denver with Odell Beckham Jr. & WR Brandon Marshall both out. Troy says guys are buying in and are in a good place mentally, but he’s aware the early BYE week will likely bite them later on. Renck is looking forward to getting Jake Butt involved as early as next week, and says Paxton Lynch could be a candidate for I.R. due to the roster spots Denver will need moving forward. Listen to the interview HERE!
Big Al doesn’t care if Foerster coaches again after seeing the video of Foerster snorting an alleged white powder. DMac asks Al what kind of leader Jay Cutler is, and Al says the NY Giants aren’t tough until they prove it. DMac finds out if Big Al & Stoke are still good for six snaps, and Peyton tells Indy he’ll always be a Colt. Also, whether all of Von Miller’s sacks were in garbage time or count just the same, and why the defense is nearly perfect against the run when Gotsis & Peko are in the game. In this week’s edition of the King Soopers Fan Football Pick’em, DMac & Al review the best games of the NFL weekend that was, and try to figure out the Chargers & Giants. Al says the Chargers are better than their record says, and the Giants still have a puncher’s chance against Denver at Mile High. Also, Big Al sticks with the Minnesota Vikings in King Soopers Fan Football Pick ‘em, David Letterman makes everyone in Indy laugh, Al wants a John Elway statue in Denver, and DMac tries to figure out who the mole is in the King Soopers Fan Football Pick ‘em league.
