Derek Wolfe joins the show to talk about how much the Broncos running game helped out the guys on defense, and how Denver scoring points took some pressure off the Broncos run defense. Troy Renck joins the show with an update on Garett Bolles’ bone bruise in his lower-left leg, and why it is being treated like a small fracture.
Al tells DMac it was easy calling the Broncos to smash the Cowboys, and the guys hear from Head Coach Vance Joseph on who gets a game ball. Adam Schefter joins the show to break down how the Broncos broke down the Cowboys running attack. Adam says these moments the Broncos are experiencing don’t last long, and Denver won’t stay giddy forever. DMac asks Adam if Buffalo is a better team than Dallas, and Adam says no, but the problems for Denver are in the matchups and the venue, with Denver struggling to go play teams in the Northeast. Also, Adam says a fresh face like Joe Woods might get a HC look after this year before Mike McCoy even. Listen to the interview HERE! In the Big 3 @ 3:30, DMac asks Big Al about the Broncos taking the Cowboys’ soul on Sunday, and Ezekiel Elliott quitting on the play. Al says sometimes it’s hard to get the elephant off your chest on the road, and the Broncos converting on third down has been crucial. DMac fears Buffalo might be a trap game with the Raiders looming. Derek Wolfe joins the show to talk about how much the Broncos running game helped out the guys on defense, and how Denver scoring points took some pressure off the Broncos run defense. Al asks Wolfe about Adam Gotsis taking the coaching he’s received well, and Wolfe says Gotsis is still getting stronger & getting better. Also, DMac asks Wolfe what he does during a lightning delay, and Al asks if there is any way to calm Von Miller down when he’s out there trying to make a play. Listen to the interview HERE!
The guys give out game balls for the Cowboys game, with Trevor Siemian taking home Al’s game ball, and C.J. Anderson landing DMac’s. Also, why VJ went with Allen Barbre at LT once Garett Bolles went down instead of Donald Stephenson. The guys hear from Broncos Head Coach Vance Joseph on his big mistake with calling time-out, and Big Al says the Cowboys O-Line did a great job keeping Dak Prescott upright & healthy. Al tells the listeners how Denver was able to disrupt things behind the Cowboys line, and how leaks turned into breaks. The guys highlight Broncos special teams mistakes, like McManus missing a FG and Cody Latimer taking it out of the end-zone from way deep. Al says the missed kicks are a bad omen, and could turn out to be catastrophic later on in the season. Troy Renck joins the show with an update on Garett Bolles’ bone bruise in his lower-left leg, and why it is being treated like a small fracture. Troy says the Broncos lucked out that the MRI did not reveal a fracture, and Denver may only be without Bolles services for a few weeks. Also, Troy says there are no more apologies for the Broncos being mean & nasty up front, and Bolles only adds to that attitude. Listen to the interview HERE!
Delicious food from Del Frisco’s is delivered to the studio on a Victory Monday, and DMac explains how it happens. The guys discuss the college football weekend, and all the memes that came from the Broncos vs Cowboys game on Sunday. Big Al says he is surprised Demarcus Lawrence got to the quarterback twice yesterday, and DMac says Denver doesn’t want a timid QB afraid of throwing interceptions. Siemian is becoming more like Manning every day, and the guys debate how high Trevor can climb the NFL QB ranks. DMac says we’ve been down this road before with Trevor Siemian, and brings up the division dominance in the AFC West. The schedule for the Broncos still seems daunting, and matchups with the Chiefs & Raiders still lurk.
