The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Cecil Lammey joins the show LIVE from Santa Clara to wrap up Broncos practice against the 49ers. Cecil thinks the Broncos have the talent to compete for a playoff spot if they can stay healthy, but concerns are already becoming obvious in the injury department now with DeMarcus Walker’s hip flexor. Mike Pritchard joins the show to talk about the addition of technology & virtual reality to NFL practices, and Big Al tries to get Pritchard’s thoughts on how Vance Joseph looked out there as a first-year head coach.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

Al says some guys like to ‘get it in’ and DMac laughs about some nicknames for Al. DMac says there’s nothing to be ashamed of losing to Brett Favre in the playoffs, and Al tells DMac he got it in with Marshall Faulk on Tuesdays. Al says Drew Brees is a cut above, and DMac notes that Jeff Garcia was a successful NFL QB. DMac says Paxton’s size is unusual, and he’s not willing to write Paxton off as a bust, and Al says Peyton was a tank. Dmac likes the opportunities Sefo is getting & Al is shocked to see Nolan Arenado short-arm a throw to 1st in the 8th inning at Coors Field. DMac tells Cecil he doesn’t know what to think of interceptions in 7on7 drills, and says one-on-one drills don’t count. Cecil says Paxton started the day off strong, but finished with a few high passes to Bennie Fowler & AJ Derby, but did deal a red-zone TD to Demaryius. Listen to the interview HERE!

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

Cecil tells Big Al about Garett Bolles’ pancake block in practice today, and the guys are curious about the fight & the spirit on the field after it went down. Big Al wonders how Jamaal Charles looked, and Cecil says it was good for Charles to get some action, but he isn’t seeing the same speed that made him a monster in Kansas City. Big Al wants to know about the trash the 49ers were talking about the Broncos QBs, and Cecil says both Paxton & Trevor were getting clowned on. Tomorrow, Cecil is looking forward to Aqib Talib & Chris Harris’ matchups with the 49ers receivers, Garcon & Goodwin. Listen to the interview HERE! Mike Pritchard joins the show to talk about the addition of technology & virtual reality to NFL practices, and Big Al tries to get Pritchard’s thoughts on how Vance Joseph looked out there as a first-year head coach. Pritchard mentions Paxton’s ability to go through reads at times, but also inability to shake it off once things start to sputter. Listen to the interview HERE! Also, This is the script, when the team decides QB1 that’s a wrap. DMac says the Broncos are in the business of signing undrafted free agents, and is glad the Broncos have a plan with the QBs & Jamaal Charles, and is sad the fans can’t be at practice every day.

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

DMac notes no shift of power or balance at the Broncos QB position & Al says teams have a better chance at winning the Super Bowl with a veteran superstar QB than a prolific defense. Big Al wants to know who’s edgy like Malik Jackson & Bill Romanowski on this year’s Broncos defensive line, and fears injury playing like mad-men with ultimate effort. Broncos may have problems at RT, and DMac says it seems obvious at this point. Also, DMac has Paxton lynch trending up & Al says it’s so good hearing about your first-round picks playing well in Lynch & Bolles.
