The Denver Broncos appear to have made some roster adjustments ahead of the start of training camp on Thursday, placing a handful of players on the non-football injury list.
Rookie tight end Jake Butt and quarterback Chad Kelly, along with veteran linebacker Shaquil Barrett, all land on the NFI list to start training camp, according to Denver 7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck.

Butt, who tore his right ACL with Michigan during the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31, said last week that he would start the season off on the physically unable to perform list, which is the for all intents and purposes the same as the NFI.
The main difference is the PUP list is for players who were injured during team activities while NFI is away from official practices, which includes personal workouts and college injuries.
Kelly underwent surgery on his right wrist just ahead of the NFL Draft earlier this spring, which he tweaked during his pro day at Ole Miss. The gunslinger also tore his ACL in November during his senior season.
Barrett injured his hip during a non-team workout this offseason, which was expected to set back the linebacker at least two months from the time he hurt it in late May.
The Btroncos also placed nose tackle Kyle Peko on the PUP list with a broken foot suffered during practice this offseason.
