The Drive with Big Al & C.J. LIVE in studio! Zach Bye sticks around to compare Denver to Milwaukee as we prepare for the ’17 NBA Draft. Mike Welch of 610 Sports KC joins the show to talk how upset Andy Reid was that he didn’t hear about the Jeremy Maclin decision until too late, and says John Dorsey needed to treat Maclin with more respect then Dorsey may have been allowed to clean out his office. Also, a LIVE check-in with the ’17 NBA Draft.
The Rockies can’t come through against the Diamondbacks, and Zach Bye asks CJ & Al if they know the reality of the situation when it comes to the Nuggets in the ’17 NBA Draft. Zach asks how starting Jameer Nelson & Wilson Chandler helps, and the guys wonder if the Nuggets have a solid business plan moving forward. Also, how can we call Kyrie a superstar, and C.J. is on the lookout for the centerpiece of something special in this year’s NBA Draft.
CJ searches for the player that can transform an NBA franchise, and Big Al suggests Jimmy Butler in a Nuggets uniform. The guys debate if Jimmy Butler is enough to compete with the Warriors in the West, and Big Al isn’t sure Butler is a franchise-changing player. CJ brings up the idea of the Nuggets tanking to compete in the playoffs, and possibly using Jimmy Butler as a trade piece.
