The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Players interview with the media at Dove Valley, and DMac gets to ask some juicy questions as the Broncos prepare for voluntary veteran mini-camp. The guys do their mock draft for the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Big Al says Myles Garrett had low production in college, but has high-end production potential in the NFL. Also, Troy Renck of Denver7 joins the show with impressions from Dove Valley, and says Paxton looks the part in his confidence & demeanor.
DMac wants Al to sit down with Aqib Talib one-on-one to get the scoop on the night he shot himself, and says Paxton really was bowling. The guys discuss the dream of being drafted, and Reuben Foster not being invited to attend the NFL Draft after getting popped for a diluted sample at the combine. DMac laughs at MadBum’s apology after falling on his bike, and asks the Broncos’ QBs about the 50/50 competition heading into mini-camp. Also, thought on Dale Earnhardt Jr. calling it a career after more concussion-like symptoms following his crash at Bristol.
Big Al has some help for those with an owl problem at their home, and the guys debate who has the better grass: Broncos or Rockies. John Elway jokes that the Broncos may need a new GM, and DMac had a question on the tip of his tongue for Elway that he tells us about. Troy Renck of Denver7 joins the show with impressions from Dove Valley, and says Paxton looks the part in his confidence & demeanor. Troy says we are fixing to find out early about the Broncos defense, and Denver will not rely on C.J. Anderson as a 20-carry per game guy this season. Troy is concerned that an unhealthy John Ross in college could lead to an unhealthy John Ross in the pro game. Also, Big Al is ready to talk fantasy football, not linebackers, and laughs at Troy having the Broncos taking David Njoku in his latest mock draft. Listen to the interview HERE!
The guys do their mock draft for the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Big Al says Myles Garrett had low production in college, but has high-end production potential in the NFL. Derek Barnett could be the playmaker San Francisco needs, and Jamal Adams lands with Chicago. The guys have Mike Williams from Clemson going to the Titans, and Solomon Thomas falling to the Los Angeles Chargers. DMac thinks Reuben Foster will fit right in with the Bengals, and Big Al finally grabs his guy Deshaun Watson with the Cleveland Browns second first-rounder. Lastly, John Ross brings the juice to Denver with the Broncos pick at No. 20 overall.
