Thursday’s show the guys talk about the reports of the Broncos declining offensive lineman Russell Okung’s contract option and the Nuggets trading a second round pick to the Bucks in return for center Roy Hibbert. Hour one Denver 7’s Broncos Insider Troy Renck joined Cecil Lammey and Brandon Stokley. Troy breaks the news that the Broncos have informed offensive lineman Russell Okung that they will not be exercising his four year, $48 million dollar option. Troy explains why all indications are that the Broncos will be moving on from Russell Okung instead of possibly resigning him. Troy discusses what this means for the Broncos and where they now could try to sure up their offensive line. Troy also talks about some other news surrounding the Broncos right now. Brandon Stokley breaks down both options and why he wouldn’t want to put his trust into either of them. Brandon Stokley then explains why he would have waited longer to decline Okung’s option and why Joe Thomas will not be traded to the Broncos.

Cecil Lammey and Brandon Stokley weigh in on why this was a pretty good move for the Nuggets in the short term while also preserving the teams lofty long term goals. The fellas also break down some other rumored trades as ESPN’s Mark Stein that the Nuggets were pursing a large deal for the Pacers Paul George. The guys look at that news and rank other NBA news as the NBA’s trade deadline concludes today.

Brandon Stokley goes into how the Broncos really need to make a move and if they don’t they could be worse up front next season. Cecil Lammey agrees and goes into some of his thoughts on why the Broncos really need to have some good plans in mind for their offensive line. The fellas break that down and look at pieces the Broncos will be looking to bring back on their offensive line.

For the rest of the third hour Cecil Lammey and Brandon Stokley talk about slot receiver options for the Broncos as the team according to Brandon Stokley needs to find a better option for their third wide receiver. Brandon Stokley explains who that player is and how they will find that slot receiver option. Cecil Lammey also weighs in with his perspective.
