Who should the Broncos take in the 1st round of the NFL Draft?: Brandon Stokley

Brandon Stokley – 02/21/2017 – Cecil Lammey and Frank Schwab sitting in for Brandon Stokley live in studio. Tuesday’s show the guys talk about the NFL Draft, NFL free agency and other trades going on around the NFL right now. Former Broncos offensive lineman Tyler Polumbus joined the show.

Hour one Cecil Lammey and Frank Schwab talk about the Emmanuel Sanders story from over the weekend. The guys talk about whether or not this story should be taken seriously by everyone. Frank Schwab explains why it’s not that big of story other then it being a somewhat decent distraction right now for the Broncos. Cecil goes into his thoughts on that as well.

Former Broncos offensive lineman Tyler Polumbus joined Cecil Lammey and Frank Schwab. Tyler talks about upcoming NFL free agency for the Broncos and what he sees the team doing this off-season. Tyler goes through recent players that have been released and talks about which of those players the Broncos should most pursue in free agency. Tyler then breaks down the Dolphins trade of offensive lineman Branden Albert and if the Broncos should have thought about trading for him. Tyler also discusses other position needs for the Broncos and how they address those needs through free agency or the NFL Draft. Listen to the full interview here!

Hour two Cecil Lammey and Frank Schwab talk about the NFL Draft and where the Broncos should go with their first round pick. Cecil Lammey breaks down how the Broncos need to draft a player like Christian McCaffrey to be an impact player for the Broncos offense in 2017. Frank Schwab then goes into some of the players he would rather draft in the first round ahead of McCaffrey if the Broncos have the opportunity to. The guys throw that topic around for a little and start to look at the tight end position in the draft this season. Cecil Lammey explains why this tight end class is the best and that the Broncos can draft a tight end in the later rounds. Frank Schwab discusses why the Broncos should really take a look at Alabama tight end O.J. Howard in the first round of the draft. The fellas break Howard down and other draft prospects.

For the rest of the second hour the guys talk about other positions that the Broncos should look at in this years draft. The guys discuss if the Broncos should also pursue certain players like Earl Mitchell in free agency this off-season. Cecil Lammey talks about a steal that the Broncos can find in free agency this off-season.

Hour three Cecil Lammey and Frank Schwab talk about a possible Joe Thomas trade with the Browns. The guys look at if a possible Broncos trade for Joe Thomas could happen this off-season. Frank Schwab explains why he feels that if a trade hasn’t happened already for Thomas that a trade will never be completed for him. Cecil Lammey then breaks down why if anyone can pull off a trade for Joe Thomas it’s someone like John Elway. The guys then weigh in on what Thomas would bring to the team and what kind of upgrade he would be. Cecil Lammey explains why Joe Thomas would be the biggest move the Broncos can make this off-season. The fellas break  that down and more!

For the rest of hour three Cecil Lammey and Frank Schwab go into the Broncos starting quarterback situation heading into the 2017 season. The guys look at Tony Romo and other options that the Broncos should take a look at this off-season. Cecil Lammey gives his top option at quarterback and debates it with Frank Schwab.
