Report: Phillips out, McCoy in as Broncos shake up coaching staff

A familiar face will return as the Denver Broncos offensive coordinator as a fan favorite exits Dove Valley for the West Coast.
According to report from 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis, the Broncos are working on finalizing a deal to bring back Mike McCoy as the team’s offensive coordinator, a position he held from 2009-2012 before taking the head coaching position with the San Diego Chargers in 2013.

And as McCoy rejoins the Broncos after four seasons, defensive coordinator Wade Phillips appears to be headed out the door after just two.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that Phillips will join new Rams head coach Sean McVay as Los Angeles’ defensive coordinator.
