C.J. and Stokley – 12/07/2016 – Cecil Lammey filling in for C.J. alongside Brandon Stokley live in studio. Wednesday’s show the guys talk about slowing down Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota and the Broncos defensively against the Titans offense. 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis and former  NFL wide receiver Herman Moore both joined the show.

Hour one 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis joined Cecil Lammey and Stokley. Mike gives an up to date report from out at Dove Valley as the Broncos were back on the practice field. Mike discusses the health of Trevor Siemian and the Broncos adding Justin Forsett off of waivers. Mike also weighs in on the Broncos and how they matchup offensively against the Titans. Mike finishes the interview analyzing how much Justin Forsett may be used in his first week with the Broncos. Listen to the full interview here!

For the rest of the first hour Cecil Lammey and Brandon Stokley debate how you slow down Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota this Sunday. Brandon Stokley gives his strategy for the Broncos to slow down Mariota this week in Tennessee. Cecil Lammey also goes into his keys to stop Mariota.

Hour two former NFL wide receiver Herman Moore joined Cecil Lammey and Brandon Stokley. Herman discusses how Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders might feel having a rookie in Paxton Lynch throwing to them. Herman then goes into some other news and notes with the Broncos right now. Cecil Lammey and Brandon Stokley talk about the Titans offensive style a little and if the Broncos will slow down Tennessee. The guys discuss how the Titans rushing attack could be the way they attack the Broncos defense. Brandon Stokley gives his keys to the Broncos defense in order to stop the Titans from being successful on the ground Sunday.

Hour three Cecil Lammey and Brandon Stokley revisit their conversation from the first hour of the show about slowing down Marcus Mariota. Brandon Stokley once again dives into his argument of the Broncos needing to spy Mariota so that he can’t scramble freely out of the pocket the whole game. Brandon Stokley suggests you make Mariota simply try to beat  the Broncos with his arm. Cecil also revisits his plan of the Broncos needing to mush rush Mariota so that you keep him contained in the pocket.

For the rest of the show the guys look closer at Justin Forsett and if he should start at running back Sunday for the Broncos. After giving some counter points Cecil Lammey agrees with Brandon Stokley and thinks it might be a good idea for the Broncos to try something new.
