C.J. and Stokley – 08/25/2016 – C.J. and Stokley live from Bar Louie. Thursday’s show the guys talk about possibly surprising NFL teams this season, Trevor Siemian starting at quarterback in preseason game number three and Broncos special teams play. Our Fan Broncos Insider Pedro Gomez and ESPN MLB Insider Pedro Gomez both joined the show.

Hour one C.J. ad Brandon Stokley break down the Broncos quarterback battle as Trevor Siemian practices for the final time today before he starts Saturday night against the Rams in preseason game number three. The guys give their thoughts on if Trevor Siemian is close to being named as the Broncos starting quarterback for week one of the season against the Panthers.

The guys then get into who their surprise teams in the NFL this season. Brandon Stokley gives some of his surprise teams this season as well as some of the teams that may be a worse this season. C.J. has some differing opinions and gives his teams that he is looking for this season.

The fellas finish the hour getting into some other Broncos position battles to watch in preseason game number three and players that could be on the roster bubble.

Hour two C.J. and Brandon Stokley talk about the Broncos special teams play. C.J. and Brandon Stokley get into who they want to see as the Broncos kick and punt returner this season. The fellas tell you how much emphasis will be on each punt and kick returner in the Broncos third preseason game coming up this Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams. Brandon Stokley then explains what a long snapper and place holder must do on field goal attempts.

Our Fan Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joined C.J. and Stokley. Cecil joins the guys first from Dove Valley and gives an update on the Broncos quarterback battle and what he saw today out at Broncos practice. Cecil then explains why he thinks C.J. Anderson will have such a successful year for the Broncos under Gary Kubiak’s offense.

The guys finish the hour debating more special teams play as the Broncos will try to narrow down their roster in the next two weeks.

Hour three C.J. and Stokley are joined by Our Fan Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey. Cecil talks about the benefits of cutting Mark Sanchez if he doesn’t win the Broncos starting or back up quarterback jobs. Cecil then discusses the Broncos special teams and who is in the running to be the Broncos starting kick and punt returner. Listen to the full interview here!

ESPN MLB Insider Pedro Gomez joined C.J. and Stokley. Pedro Gomez goes into the Rockies being swept by the Brewers over the past three days. Pedro then weighs in on Rockies prospect Jeff Hoffman and how long it will take for a prospect to mature and be big league ready. Listen to the full interview here!

The guys finish the show talking about more Broncos special teams concerns and some other NFL teams that could be a surprise in 2016-2017.
