Siemian to Practice for First Time this Week: Schlereth & Evans

Aug 24, 2016, 7:24 AM | Updated: 9:18 am

Schlereth & Evans – 8/24/16 – Stink is back in studio today and ready to join Mike Evans as they go about analyzing this Broncos QB carousel. Will Trevor Siemian sink or shine this Saturday? Is Sanchez done in Denver? Will Paxton Lynch start this year? How did Demayius Thomas own Josh Norman? The guys are joined by Charlie Casserly, Cecil Lammey, and Troy Renck to shed some clarity on the Broncos.

Listen to hour 1 here!

The fellas open the show with some of their thoughts on Trevor Siemian getting the start over Mark Sanchez despite not being able to participate in the first practice of the week due to a shoulder injury.

The guys are joined by NFL Network analyst Charlie Casserly to get his take on the Broncos. They ask him about the thought process of not naming Trevor Siemian the week one starter for the regular season yet, if he has any faith in Mark Sanchez being able to clean up his game, and why the Broncos don’t just start Paxton Lynch. Listen to the full insight from Charlie Casserly HERE!

This carries the guys to the Morning Brew where the top stories are the Broncos QB competition, Josh Norman getting owned by Demaryius Thomas on twitter, Tom Brady cutting himself with scissors, and the Yankees offering to pay for Doc Gooden to go to rehab.

Listen to hour 2 here!

The second hour of the show kicks off with Stink’s Clear the Air segment where he tears into the NFL for how they handled the cancellation of the the Hall of Fame game as more information comes out.

After Stink’s rant the guys are joined by Fan Broncos insider Cecil Lammey to give his perspective on the Broncos. He tells us why he was surprised Siemian was named the starter so quickly, if he still thinks there is an open competition at the QB position, how Paxton Lynch looked in practice, and why things look positive regarding Demarcus Ware. Listen to the full insight from Lammey HERE!

This leads into 4 Down Territory headlined by the Broncos QB situation, Josh Norman’s twitter war with Demaryius Thomas, Tom Brady cutting his thumb, and Tampa Bay’s second-round kicker getting booed at camp.

The hour wraps up with the fellas joined by Denver 7 Broncos insider Troy Renck to give his breakdown of the team. They get his thoughts on the QB battle, if Mark Sanchez could find himself without a job, and if it would be crazy to start Paxton Lynch right away. Listen to the full insight from Troy Renck HERE!

Listen to hour three here!

The guys get into the third hour by talking about some non-QB topics that they think might be overshadowed by the QB conversation but will have a major impact on the team going into the 2016 season. The conversation shifts over to the Rockies for a bit, and the guys give their takes on the way this season has gone done for the club in purple.

They soon get back to the Broncos and have a conversation about how much change has occurred within the offense since it’s record-breaking season in 2013, and if it will eventual return to it’s former glory as Gary Kubiak builds it according to his vision.

The guys wrap up the show with some discussion on the Colorado Avalanche and what their plan is going to be going into the 2016-2017 season and if they are moving in the right direction with this core group of players.
