Nate Zelinsky of Tightline Outdoors joins the show to talk walleye, seminars and a sports show. Fish spawning until mid-April, still can find pre-spawn fish, and target the shores at night. Tina Jackson joins the show to talk about the recent survey regarding black-tailed prairie dog habitat & population. Tina tells Terry some specific locations of white-tail & black-tail prairie dogs. Most of the habitat is currently on the eastern prairie, and Tina is still concerned about the plague hitting colonies.
Dan Swanson from Fishful Thinker joins the show to talk about the boat ramps opening March 3rd & some tips on going after walleye. Aggressive males & big females in the same area, catching big ones in the middle of the day from shore & walleye looking to spawn on rock & rubble areas. Dan says you can go right up against the bank with jigs, and females susceptible to suspended jerk baits at night. Dan likes to use something subtle that doesn’t displace a lot of water.
